Here at Elmwood Nursery, we are now looking for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to support the nursery team in providing quality day-care for the children in our care.

As a member of the nursery team, you will assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum, promoting a stimulating environment of play, and encouraging and supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the children.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in childcare You'll be exposed to many areas within the Nursery and be assigned a mentor who will support you throughout


All that we ask is that you hold an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Early Years Education and be able to work well as part of a team.

You'll have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work flexibly, able to attend meetings/activities that may be outside normal working hours.


This position is based at Elmwood Nursery at Carshalton College. It's a full-time role working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You'll undertake a Level 3 Diploma in the Early Years Education one evening a week. The place of study will be a College within the South Thames Colleges Group.
