Clerk to The Board of Trustees - Norwich, United Kingdom - The HEART Education Trust
Description
This is an exciting opportunity to act as a clerk to the Board of Trustees at an innovative and dynamic educational trust.
You would be working with the Chair of the Board, the CEO and other Trustees to provide comprehensive, confidential and professional governance advice and support.
We anticipate at least 162 hours (c 27 days) of clerking work to be required over the course of an academic year.
You would be required to be available for the following:
- One Full Board meeting each half term (6 per academic year)
- One Audit & Risk Committee meeting per term (3 per academic year)
- One Finance Committee meeting per term (3 per academic year)
- One Pay Committee meeting per year
- Two Members meetings per year
- Termly Academy Scrutiny Committee meetings (our academies' local governance board) at each of the four academies (12 per academic year)
Clerking of ad hoc statutory appeal panels, exclusion panels, disciplinary panels, etc, may be requested from time to time.
You will also have:
- Previous experience of clerking or minuting meetings
- Experience in building strong collaborative relationships
- Demonstrable evidence of the competencies set out in the Clerking Competency Framework
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent listening and literacy skills
- A strong commitment to education, the nonprofit sector and raising the aspirations, achievement and life chances of all children
- Confidence liaising with key stakeholders
- The ability to organise time and adhere to deadlines

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
