Vehicle Damage Assessor - Monday -Thursday Afternoons

Birmingham

£48,000 Basic OTE £60,000

Excellent benefits package:

- _Permanent afternoon position, 40 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 2.30pm - 1am_
- _1 in 3 Saturday mornings paid at overtime rate_
- _Overtime paid at time a half_
- _Monthly bonus £300_

Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA:


  • We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced VDA / Estimator from either a bodyshop or Accident repair background, to join a leading automotive division for a wellknown organisation

Job Details:
VDA / Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor

  • To inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of the damage sustained, assess the cost of repair and time scales
  • To identify the correct prescribed repair method
  • To prepare computerised and manual estimates and to accurately record these, maintaining uptodate records of all estimates
  • To obtain from insurance companies authority to proceed with repair to a vehicle and to confirm the cost of the repair
  • To communicate effectively with customers, engineers and technicians to ensure understanding of correct vehicle repair methodology
  • To ensure that any amendment to repair work is authorised by the insurance company
  • VDA / Vehicle Damage assessor
  • Once authorisation has been gained, to liaise with the body shop personnel and make sure that they understand fully the prescribed repair method

Job Experience:
The Successful VDA / Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor will have:

  • Audatex experience
  • Experience as a VDA / Vehicle Estimator
  • ATA qualification or be a time served technician
  • Experience in a body shop or accident repair environment
