Over the past 30+ years, Springboard has remained focused on supporting young people and communities from areas facing disadvantage.

As a Placement Support Officer, you will join a committed team and play a vital role in Springboard, making a difference to the lives of our participants.

The Placement Support Officer will assist in the preparation of young people for work placement and to promote programmes with local employers.

The Placement Support Officer will be responsible for building our employer network of placement providers, as well as helping employers support placements and taster work experience for our young people.

We can offer you:

A competitive salary of £28,226 per year pro rata
25 days leave per year plus 12 days statutory leave (pro rata if part time)
3% contributory pension
Travel mileage

Support, supervision, CPD & nonmanagerial support
Half day release for approved training
Team meetings for shared learning & practice & volunteer days

Ø A 3rd level qualification in Youth Work, Teaching or Education, Business Studies or studying toward.

OR

Three years previous experience in a career's guidance or mentoring role.

Ø Experience of working with both employers and young people to ensure successful placement opportunities and prevent drop out.

Ø Understanding of the needs and challenges facing young people from marginalised backgrounds and/or disabilities.

Ø Understanding of the local labour market and employer needs.
