An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Estates and Facilities Management team at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Hampshire & Isle of Wight (IOW) for an Estates Support Officer.

  • The OPCC Estates team is responsible for over 130 properties which are provided for the use of Hampshire & IOW Constabulary. The estate has a broad mixture of properties and an even broader range of age & conditions which need to be managed. As part of the estates continued development to support the Police and Crime Commissioner's Estates Strategy, the estate needs to be invested in and developed to keep up with the demands of Hampshire & IOW Constabulary.
  • The role will support the Estate Strategy by facilitating estates changes, working collaboratively with other team members and ensuring the physical relocation of staff and their effects is achieved effectively and efficiently. The role will support the project delivery team with the identification of requirements and collection of site specific details, including ICT and networking requirements to ensure the desired change can be delivered.
  • Furthermore, the role will ensure new environments for departments are ready for occupancy, including working with the Estates Design and Space Planner in assessing the furniture and storage requirements for that department. There will be some basic contractor supervisory requirements with the role, requiring a basic understanding of site based H&S needs.
  • The estate team are based across the county as required to deliver the needs of the estate with a base just outside of Fareham, you will benefit from a generous employment package including a competitive annual leave entitlement, local government pension and flexible working opportunities.
