Your dream role:

We are hiring Vehicle Builders to manufacture coaches & buses to the design/customer specification.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

To identify the manufacturing requirements for task by assessing the Build & Quality requirements from any available sources e.g. works instructions/specifications, engineering drawings, etc.
To select appropriate tools, equipment, materials and fixings as required for work tasks.
To ensure all tools & equipment selected are inspected prior to use.
To operate tools, equipment & machinery in a safe & competent manner and to comply with any safety regulations.
To fit & assemble a variety of components to different types of vehicle bodies & in a variety of situations.
To work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE as necessary.
To ensure the work environment is maintained in a safe & tidy manner & to sweep work area on a daily basis.
To report any equipment malfunctions as soon as possible.
To report any injuries or near misses as soon as possible.
To achieve required Quality standards.
To report any material/components faults, breakages or supply issues.
To complete daily timesheets or sign off documentation as required.

What you will bring:

-
Time Served Apprenticeship in Vehicle Assembly
or a certificate of Apprenticeship in a Craft or Allied Trade
or Qualified to minimum of NVQ Level 2 in a craft trade
or Can demonstrate occupational competence in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Able to work in a safe manner recognising potential risk to oneself and ones work colleagues
Able to work on own but also as part of a team
Able to work under own initiative and minimum supervision
Able to use a range of hand & power tools as required to undertake designated work task efficiently
