ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring Management Accounts are up to date and accurate according to month end timetables with support from the Finance BP (Group).



Reporting / Management Accounts

  • Month end journal preparation and posting, along with completion of balance sheet reconciliations, supported by Finance BP (Group).
  • Assist with intercompany transactions including management charges, payments and intercompany transfers, reconciliations and posting as appropriate.
  • For Budgets and Forecasts support Business Partners on completion of meetings and queries from cost centre holders.
  • Assist Group BP with P&L analysis of the monthly accounts.
  • Assist Group BP with half year and full year end additional reports where required.
  • Preparation of monthly cost reports for budget holders.

Other Tasks

  • Process Flow Reviews seek out improvement, ensuring any process improvements are discussed and approved with line manager.
  • AP cover where required.
  • Obtain and demonstrate sufficient knowledge and provide support of roles within the finance peer group to ensure business continuity during times of annual leave, absence, and busy periods.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate supplier information on business systems to minimise risk exposure and improve internal communication.
  • Completion of day to day housekeeping e.g. filing of paperwork.

REQUIREMENTS:


Essential:


  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)


  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Pivots, VLOOKUPs
  • Knowledge of VAT and Taxation legislation
  • Good basic accountancy knowledge studying AAT/CIMA
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Numerate and good analytical skills
  • Proven ability for attention to detail and accuracy
