Stock Controller

Reports To:
Head of Supply Chain

The Stock Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, goods in and out, quality assurance of all good received, and ultimately supporting operational efficiency across warehouse and distribution functions.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that stock takes and inventory is managed with a high level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure Health & Safety policy is always followed.
• Full accountability for stock accuracy across multiple storage locations.
• In tandem with Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator & Head of Supply Chain organise stock movements, reconciliations, cycle counts, and periodic stock takes.
• Computer literate comfortable entering stock data on SAGE
• Ensuring effective stock rotation, traceability, and batch control in line with food safety standards and production requirements.
• Working closely with Production and Supply Chain to align stock levels with demand
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, implementing corrective actions requested by Head of Supply Chain.
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a hands-on Stock Controller with experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.


You will have:

• Proven experience in stock or inventory control within food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of batch control, shelf life, and stock rotation.
• Experience working with warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with Sage.
• A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and MS Office is key.
• Forklift license is preferred but not a MUST.

Salary & Terms:

• £30k - £35k
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 16:30 or 07:00 – 15:30
• Immediate Start
