Main Purpose

To ensure the smooth flow of product from supplier, through to customer with the emphasis on safety, accuracy, quality, and timing.

The cutting and service of all cardboard cores to the conversion line following the live schedule.
Working two to three days in front of the live schedule ensuring that all machines have cores for each job produced.
Maintain, control stock and ordering of all cores required through a Kanban system, this will also include regular stock taking.
Managing the storage, Workplace Organisation and cleanliness of all bin's, bin storage locations, machine and working areas.
Ensuring that Operators can locate the cores with ease, this will be through a colour coded system.
Managing waste of all cores and off cuts, measuring waste and cost of waste to an agreed target.
Ensuring that the core cutting machine is maintained and kept to a clean and high standard.
To work with the rewinder as part of the conversion machine.
To adhere to the Company health and safety and hygiene policies.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS
To ensure that consideration and good relations are maintained at all times.

To liaise, and communicate fully, at all times with the Line Manager and relevant personnel within the departmental framework.
