We are recruiting a 1:1 teaching assistant to support and care for a new pupil during the school day.

Working under the direction of the class teacher you will support the KS3 pupil in their academic learning accessing the multi-sensory curriculum, as well as in developing their personal, social and communication skills.

You will be expected to carry out physical tasks such as dressing and supporting with personal care needs. This role will also include a high level of medical support. Weekly swimming sessions are also expected.

You will be provided with suitable training to support the individual and their targets/outcomes, this will be identified during the interview process.

You should be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 in a relevant field. Ideally, you will have had experience of working with children with VI, sensory processing, complex and medical needs. A strong understanding of the full curriculum and transport is desirable.
