Are you a forward thinking and ambitious analytical thinker, looking for a new challenge?

We're looking for a switched on and insight-driven individual to support market and customer insight for a range of businesses and services at the University.

This is a vital and hands-on role where you'd be expected to work alongside our market research officers, creating and delivering market research that provides actionable marketing insight.


You could be responsible for:

  • Collating customer feedback from a range of sources (such as net promoter scores) to deliver reports and recommendations.
  • Providing project support and conducting market research, such as surveys, focus groups and mystery shopping to deliver the team's annual research plan.
  • Undertaking desk research to monitor our competitors and provide competitor audits.

JOB PURPOSE


To support the Market Research Manager (Brand and Commercial) and Market Research Officer in developing, co-ordinating and undertaking market research and analysis that informs and underpins the activities of all businesses within the Campus and Commercial Services Group (CCSG).


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As directed by the Market Research Manager (Brand and Commercial) and Market Research Officer but will include:

  • Supporting individual businesses of CCSG in developing, executing and evaluating market research activities.
  • Systematically analysing various sources of customer insight and feedback (e.g. Net Promoter Score from survey kiosks) and providing recommendations to the businesses to improve their products and services.
  • Cleaning, coding and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Helping to coordinating planning of insight across the businesses of CCSG to reduce duplication and 'survey fatigue.'
  • Undertaking desk research to help CCSG businesses to better understand their customers and business reputation on an ongoing basis, maintaining a regular audit of competitor activity.
  • Undertaking and commissioning research and analysis as directed by Market Research Officer, using both primary and secondary market research to do this. This may require developing surveys, mystery shopping and UX testing.
  • Support the Market Research Officer in developing, managing and communicating an annual research plan as well as a dashboard and toolkit for use by colleagues to inform their planning and activity.

Project Coordination/Delivery:


This role will join a new internal service team of marketing professionals whose role it will be to collectively support the businesses of CCSG.

Project briefs will be developed by marketing managers and officers across CCSG, with overall direction for workload planning from the Market Research Officer.

This team will work within the wider CCSG marketing team and alongside the University's marketing team and together will seek to develop and maintain consistently high standards of service and execution.

This will involve effective, on-going consultation with the stakeholders throughout the production process to deliver written content that meet the brief and ensure deadlines are met.
