Bank Catering Assistant - Ward Pantry - Pinehill Hospital - Bank Hours

The role


Reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will provide a high standard of catering service, as part of the support services team.

Experience is not essential, as we will provide all training necessary for the position although it will benefit you if you have worked previously in a fast-paced environment to high standards.


As a Bank Catering Assistant, you will be part of a team who will be responsible for the service delivery of all food and drink to the patients on the wards including managing dietary requirements.


  • Additional tasks will consist of the washing of cutlery, replenishing our hot drinks machines and explaining the daily menus across all meals
  • You will be part of a team of Catering Assistants who are fundamental in ensuring that all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner and that standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital are in line with our policies
  • Daily cleaning of all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard
  • You will be required to have a good understanding of current health and hygiene regulations, and ensure that these are adhered to in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs
  • A willingness to work positively with a team to achieve team goals and excellence in service delivery
