We are looking for an energetic, positive, receptionist / administrator to join our close team to help the operations and development of our electrical and fire compliance company.


Introduction to Lightside


Lightside are an industry leading 25+ year old fire and electrical compliance company who work across a variety of sectors including social housing, councils, education and commercial properties.


Based in Finsbury Park (N4) in North London, our office is located close to Finsbury Park train station covered over 3 floors where teams of contract support, admin, engineering and management are stationed.


Our staff consists of a mixture of nationalities who work very closely in teams to carry out the operations of the business.

We are a growing business and aim to maintain being industry leaders in our sector.

  • Update internal IT systems.
  • Answer the main company telephone line and forward calls as necessary.
  • Updating documents and our job management system.
  • Interact with all levels of management, personnel and customers.
  • Willing to learn our work process systems.
  • Support a variety of teams within the business with administrative tasks.
  • Work within different teams' day to day and be part of the process to increase efficiency and productivity using IT and software systems.
  • Willing to learn and understand project / contract knowledge.
  • Assisting with general administration and clerical support for the team.
  • Carry out administrative tasks for management using Microsoft Office.

Requirements for the role:


  • To be a team player.
  • Helpful and friendly telephone manner.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Able to prioritize workload.
  • IT literate and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Able to record information accurately and correspond effectively.

Salary and Benefits:


  • Starting salary £24,000.00 per annum.
  • 28 days holiday including statutory bank holidays.
  • Full time permanent position.
  • Hours 8:30 to 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Company pension.
