Position:
Teaching Assistants for Autism Support


Start Date:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with autism? We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team at a Secondary School in Hillingdon (Hayes).

This is an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment, supporting students with autism spectrum disorders to thrive academically and socially.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone and small group support to students with autism
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans
  • Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Help students develop social skills and independence
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to meet the individual needs of students

Requirements:


  • Experience working with students with autism preferred
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective support strategies
  • Ability to build rapport with students and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (desirable)
