Warehouse/Forklift Operative

Overview

As a Warehouse/Forklift Operative, you will report to the Site Manager and work as part of a busy team of warehouse operatives to achieve excellent quality and efficiency to meet agreed service levels.


Your role as Warehouse/Forklift Operative will be varied and you will benefit from learning new skills within the logistics industry which will help you to develop into a competent operative.

To achieve in this role, experience in a similar field is essential, along with a forklift licence.

A hardworking and ambitious attitude with a strive for delivering a high-quality service is what we are looking for and will help you achieve in this role.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Follow Health & Safety Policy & Company Procedures at all times, awareness of the reporting relevant concerns to your line manager or Health and Safety Officer.
  • Physical & administrative receipt of goods inwards
  • Familiar with IT, RDT's are used by Warehouse Management System
  • Locating of goods into warehouse
  • Using counterbalance, pump truck or manual handling techniques
  • Picking product by either pallet or carton via forklift or manually
  • Checking picked orders against instructions
  • Labeling of product for dispatch
  • Replenishment of picking locations
  • Assistance with cycle counting & stock checks
  • Loading of goods onto delivery vehicles on pallets via forklift or as cartons manually
  • Assistance with smooth running of warehouse areas
  • Ensure all warehouses & yard areas are kept clean & tidy.
  • Flexibility to move between existing thirdparty contracts to cover peak times
  • Working in line with Company values
