Associate - Credit Client Fulfilment


What is the opportunity?


Based in London or Jersey this role within the Credit Client Fulfilment team will support the Wealth Management International (WMI) Credit team in the delivery of credit products and solutions within the UK and Channel Islands (CI).

This role will have to administer all facets of client fulfilment including ensuring that the process from underwriting approval to drawdown and ongoing facility maintenance balances appropriate risk controls with overall client experience.


The role includes tasks associated with preparing credit documentation and the review of externally-drafted documentation related to credit transaction as well as supporting the conditions precedent process.

The role will further include tasks associated with ensuring the credit risk monitoring and control activities are sufficient to safeguard the bank's lending activities and that credit exposures are duly monitored and managed in full in accordance with the bank's policies and relevant credit approval conditions.


What will you do?

  • Assist in the execution of all core Client Fulfilment control and monitoring responsibilities and contribute to preparing, reviewing and issuing documentation for credit transactions in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate transactions through to a successful completion and drawdown, ensuring that all necessary precompletion steps and checks are taken, including liaising with other involved parties to assist with the timely delivery of all conditions precedent requirements.
  • Assist to ensure that all necessary security perfection steps and postcompletion requirements are accomplished within the required timeframe.
  • Provide support for collateral monitoring and credit limits to be monitored daily to ensure compliance within policy or exceptions granted. Shortfalls and / or excess to be escalated within the allocated time frame for UK & CI.
  • Prepare amendment and supplemental documentation in relation to existing loans, and prepare documentation to deal with default/reservation of rights scenarios.
  • Approve loan drawdowns and collateral release for UK & CI including funding, disbursement of funds and monitoring of repayments.
  • Daily monitoring of overdrafts in accordance with the Overdraft Policy for UK and CI.
  • Develop towards process improvement and implementation of streamlining, automation or otherwise improvement of existing processes and practices within the team. Suggest any process changes required to support the Credit book growth related to RBC Brewin Dolphin.

  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision or guidance
  • Strong understanding of the requirements of a control environment and how to balance this with process efficiency
  • Commercial and "client first" mindset
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • A good team player

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of Wealth Management credit business is a plus
