Description

You will be supporting and developing the IT infrastructure within the company, specifically the storage, networks (LAN & WAN), central servers, backups and security.

You will have experience in Window service support, managing a Windows active directory and implementing and managing large SAN environments.

Duties:

Create, devise, and implement new infrastructure designs to continuously improve performance, availability and security.
Provision hardware and firmware upgrades to infrastructure
Lead any infrastructure projects
Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
Provide second line support to the ServiceDesk for issues that cannot be resolved there.
Solving technical problems related to the IT infrastructure.
Creating knowledge base documentation for ServiceDesk staff
Key point of contact for telecommunication carriers and infrastructure service providers.
Monitor and respond to security alerts and faults.

Skills/Experience required:

Windows server support experience
Experience managing a Windows Active Directory, DNS,DHCP,GPO, MDT, and Exchange environment
Experience of implementing and managing large SAN environments
Extensive knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, routing, switching and IP addressing
Understanding of communication technologies including SDWAN, SIP, Ethernet.
Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and nontechnical audiences
Demonstrate efficient and effective use of problemsolving and task prioritisation to solve complex technical challenges
Management of virtualisation technologies particularly VMware.
Handson experience installing, managing, upgrading and troubleshooting enterpriseclass voice systems preferably with a focus on Mitel technologies.
