Job Summary:


  • Relationship building account managing existing corporate partnerships to maximise the value and impact they can deliver for the charity
  • Acquisition of new business create and manage a pipeline of corporate supporters from research to approach and secure new corporate partnerships
  • To proactively deliver income from the corporate sector that contributes to the annual target of £250k across all income streams

Main Duties and Responsibilities

New Business Activity

  • Accountable for a new business target and developing a robust pipeline to deliver multiyear corporate opportunities.
  • Prospect identification and research including the targeting of Charity of the Year relationships and longstanding corporate partnerships
  • Develop high quality, compelling proposals and presentations to secure new corporate partnerships and lead on their delivery
  • Provide regular prospect /pipeline reports to fundraising trustees
  • Develop, implement and deliver a new business plan
  • Use market knowledge, insight and networking to proactively identify and secure new partnership opportunities
  • Represent Destination Florida at various events and functions to network and foster new corporate relationships

Account Management

  • Responsible for the account management of all corporate partnerships to maximize their value and impact for the charity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate supporters through networking events, meetings, use of fundraising initiatives and corporate events
  • Provide the highest level of relationship management to existing corporate partners, ensuring their needs are met and objectives achieved ensuring their continued engagement and support.
  • Deliver excellent account management and stewardship tailored to the value and potential of each partnership.
  • Maximise existing relationships to identify new business opportunities, networks and contacts

Supporting wider work

  • Share best practices and insights to drive improvements across other income streams and activities.
  • Attend and represent the charity at Destination Florida events and external events to grow a network of corporate contacts
  • Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, trustees and volunteers by working collaboratively to maximise skills, contacts and networks
  • Carry out reasonable duties as requested by the trustees to meet the needs of the charity
  • Some work outside of core hours including occasional weekends and evenings will be required to deliver stewardship, acquisition and representing the society at events and TOIL (Time off in Lieu) will be received in return
  • In Florida work as part of a coordinating team to ensure the success of the trip

Role requirements

  • Experience in corporate, commercial, marketing, fundraising or sales and ability to work comfortably and successfully within the corporate environment
  • Demonstratable success in identifying, cultivating and securing new business opportunities
  • Proven track record of managing, tracking, and developing a robust pipeline of prospective new business across diverse sectors.
  • Ability to produce and deliver clear and persuasive fundraising proposals tailored to corporate audiences across a variety of industries
  • Proficiency in utilising influencing and negotiating skills effectively to maximize the impact of partnerships
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills with the capacity to network, motivate, and inspire individuals at all levels of seniority
  • Proven experience of excellent customer or account management
  • Ability to establish credibility and trust with others through open, professional, and respectful conduct at all times
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding targets and experience in budgets and forecasting for income and expenditure

  • Strong interpersonal and interpretation skills allowing you to vary communication style (both written and verbal) to reflect the needs of the audience

  • Team player able to support others to deliver targets and hit deadlines and not afraid to ask for help themselves.

  • Able to work as part of a team effectively to deliver team plans and goals
