HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?


With the launch of a new range of Clothing and Accessories for both ladies and men, James Purdey & Sons is taking a new journey to extend its shooting and technical ranges into a luxury lifestyle brand.


We are now looking for a talented Head of C&A Sales to join the Purdey team and lead the Sales function for the entire Clothing and Accessories offering.

Reporting into the Director of Retail & Merchandising, you will lead, develop and execute strategic full price sales initiatives to successfully achieve the financial objectives across eCom, Retail and Wholesale for Clothing and Accessories division of Purdey.

You will Build and drive the top line full price sales for C&A across the categories of Men's and Women's RTW which includes both Lifestyle and Sporting/Technical, Accessories, Footwear and Gifting and grow retail to £3+ million business.


Working closely with the CRM Manager, you will possess a "customer-first" attitude focused on providing excellent customer experience to Purdey's global customer base.

You will be someone with an eye for detail who can motivate and manage the E-commerce team and Retail team equally striving to significantly elevate the customer service, quality of interactions, energy etc in both areas.


  • Lead and influence all levels of the organisation to achieve elevation of brand and financial sales goals
  • Achieve C&A net sales targets across the three business channels eCom, Audley House and Wholesale
  • Input with Buying / Merchandise Planning commercial strategy for product range, margin, sell through plans and pricing to meet growth projected forecasts across all business channels
  • Cross functional lead for all trading strategies and site merchandising for both eCom and Audley House to drive commercial sales and build customer retention and acquisition Evolve and build the 1814 members club
  • Oversee and manage the eCom team to drive sales and hit KPI's set by the business
  • Focus on eCom as the main driver for growth
  • Oversee and manage the Retail team at Audley House to drive sales and hit KPI's set by the business
  • Oversee and manage the Wholesale team to drive sales and hit KPI's set by the business
  • Identify and expand Wholesale to include key partnerships to thoughtfully grow this channel.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on content needed for the business to push the commercial initiatives specifically around product content needed for eCom
  • Elevate all aspects of the service level across the business.
  • Instigate full price sell through
  • Manage P&L planning to business targets against budgets
