We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our team

We are looking to hire a product owner to work closely with our clients as a partner who helps their internal product teams deliver successful products that create value for customers and the business's strategic objectives.

This role is a full-time contract position running until the end of 2023.

The role is full-time and can work hybrid in UK/EU timezones and from our London and/or Manchester offices.


What will you be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong understanding of customer and user needs, set the technical direction for the product with technologists and architects and deliver value through creating product visions and roadmaps, detailed requirements and translating them into a delivery backlog.

This role will be working with a major health tech client with global reach.

You will be focusing on technical internal products that other product owners will use to power a range of products that change the lives of patients and the work of healthcare providers.

The products will include microservices, APIs and other data-driven products.


In addition, you will be:
Managing sprints and product backlogs to identify where the most value can be created/delivered- Working with technical teams, leads and architects to set the technical direction for the products you are managing and ensure they align with the needs of your technical users- Defining, measuring and monitoring product vision and KPIs- Working with technologists to create appropriately detailed specs for product features and related user stories- Working shoulder to shoulder with our clients, consultants, and Product Managers/BAs to support them in understanding and translating requirements, making sure sprint planning, reviews and retros run well, informing product roll-out, growth and marketing and ensuring the product is compliant- Ensuring design research and user testing plans created by designers are fit for purpose- Managing stakeholder communications Acting as an authority on Agile ways of working and championing and casually coaching team members


What experience are we looking for?

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of product ownership/management experience (ideally in health or other regulated industries)
• Experience working with health technology (especially medical devices) including clinical and non-clincial systems. This may include patient management and EHR systems.
• Strong ability to collaborate with senior technical stakeholders with the ability to understand advanced technical and architectural topics, to turn them into simple requirements and communications
• Ability to make technical decisions about the direction of a product but understanding input from a range of technologists
• Experience working in a consultancy/agency environment
• Experience working as a 'translator' between teams, disciplines and organisations
• Experience managing senior client relationships and excellent stakeholder management
• Experience working with products in highly regulated sectors

• Occasional travel may be required
