Description

Enfield Council are a dynamic local authority driven by a clear vision of how we will transform the borough, address inequality and create a lifetime of opportunities for everyone who lives, works and learns in Enfield.

Following the appointment of a new senior leadership team in Finance we are expanding and adapting to create a supportive team that anticipates and collaboratively solves problems, helping us deliver an ambitious programme that reaches across all areas of local authority operation and interest.

The Real Estate Financial Modeller will report to the Head of Finance (Capital and Treasury) and will be the finance lead for Property projects, providing robust analysis and recommending strategies to maximise the value of the Council's property assets.

The post holder will be the Enfield finance lead on Montagu, an industrial estate regeneration joint venture. Key responsibilities will include;

  • Modelling work, including creation of transaction models and sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Working with the Property team to ensure there is robust data to inform and enable strategic and operational decisions
  • Collaboratively working with and negotiating with our private sector joint venture partner
  • Contributing to generating a minimum annual saving for the Council

To be suitable for the role you need to have a commercial mindset with robust financial modelling skills and an understanding of property.

You do not necessarily need to be a qualified accountant (eg if you have a financial modelling qualification) or need to have a local authority background.

If you are a professional who engages with big questions, is willing to learn new skills and enjoys trying new ways of doing things, then we want to hear from you.

Enfield offers a hybrid working arrangement. With an expectation that staff will be in the office a couple of times per month.

We are passionate about our people and how we deliver services to our community in Enfield.

That's why we encourage a culture that puts our customers at the heart of everything we do - by empowering our people to work together to find solutions, be open, honest and respectful, take responsibility and listen and learn.
