We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Suite Co-ordinator to join our existing team on the Peterborough City Hospital site.
As a Midwife Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the activity on the labour ward.
There will be opportunities for some management tasks including completing personal appraisals, Datix completion and Birth Afterthoughts.
The delivery suite currently has 14 delivery rooms which cater for low and high-risk women including a bereavement suite, recovery area, induction of labour bay and an HDU.
In addition to this, there is an alongside Midwifery Led Birthing Unit, to which the delivery Suite Co-ordinator has overall day to day operational responsibility of, in conjunction with the Delivery Suite Ward Manager and the Inpatient Acute Services Lead Midwife.
You will work closely with the Acute Services Lead Midwife and the Labour Ward Manger to ensure that high standards of care are maintained, and quality assurance is reported to the senior team on a monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
Practice
- The practitioner is expected to ensure that their own clinical practice, and that of the other staff on each shift, within the area of practice is of a safe standard and in accordance with the unit policies.
- To assess, implement and evaluate programmes of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women in line with current evidence, Unit policies and guidelines and NMC Midwives' Rules and Code of Practice.
- To develop an environment which supports the value of midwifery care.
