Construction Buyer

Junior to Intermediate level

Salary - £25,000 to £35,000

Main Contractor

With projects across the board in the Commercial, Industrial and Public sectors we now require a buyer with experience in the construction industry to join the current team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Identifying suitable suppliers / manufacturers
Negotiation on prices, delivery times and quantities
Assisting with procurement and purchasing colleagues
Working closely with the Quantity Surveyors
Financial Administration
Report Writing
Continually striving to improve the supply chain management in the company
Maximising efficiency
Knowledge of current pricing levels within construction
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Negotiation skills
Knowledge of building standards and construction techniques
