Receptionist Volunteer


We are searching for passionate and caring volunteers to join our Reception team at The William and Patricia Venton Centre, Astor Drive, Mount Gould, Plymouth.

Volunteering can make a difference to you, a huge difference to our clients and Age UK Plymouth.


The Role


Our Reception team is the first point of contact albeit via a phone call or by visiting The William and Patricia Venton Centre and delivering an excellent experience is key.

The role will include signposting people to the relevant departments within our centre, providing key information relating to our services and activities, answering the phone, general admin duties, greeting our centre users, managing post and much more benefiting both our clients and team.


Are you passionate about supporting your local community? Are you someone who can help organise? Can you add a bit of sparkle to someone's day? If the answer is yes then we would love to hear from you.

To be successful in this role you need you to have a caring nature, excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills, basic IT skills, be a good listener, patience, a passion for helping people, be reliable and work as part of a team.

Additional Information
We provide full training which includes; safeguarding, dementia awareness training and digital training.


Please note that a DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role but we will guide you through these processes.
