My client are a supplier to the construction industry are recruiting an experienced Contracts Administrator to join them at their office in Leeds.
My client are looking for a flexible, dynamic individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to fill a great role within the business.
This is a new stand alone role and a great opportunity to directly contribute to the on-going commercial success of the business.
Key responsibilities- Responsible for the administration of client instructions.
- Supporting Project Managers with bids and proposals; managing project portfolios, tracking bids and assisting Project Managers in production of proposal deliverables.
- Setting up jobs on Redsky (internal system). Creating job files and ensuring all required documentation is submitted.
- Administration of statutory notifications in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012).
- Administration of Environment Agency permits for environmental compliance purposes.
- Coordination of Remediation Division calendar, including current jobs, personnel and equipment.
- Liaising with supply partners, managing purchasing, issuance of purchase orders and coordinating administration of payments in support of Rhodar Finance team.
- Updating supplier database and coordinating supplier preapprovals.
- Organising servicing and maintenance of heavy plant and maintaining asset register for technical equipment.
- Liaising with the Waste Manager to coordinate waste disposal activities and materials (aggregates) purchasing.
- Management of Remediation Division road fleet to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Maintenance of training matrix and arranging required training courses for Remediation Division staff members. Overseeing inductions for new starters.
Essential skills and personal qualities:
- Previous administration experience in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills in being able to multitask and reprioritize at frequent intervals.
- A high level of accuracy and has an eye for detail.
- Issue resolution and problem solving ability.
- Ability to handle pressure and good timemanagement.
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
- Friendly, calm and professional manner.
- Understanding the need for internal confidentiality.
Desirable skills/ experience:
- Procurement administration experience.
- A knowledge/ familiarity with brownfield redevelopment, remediation and ground engineering (or related disciplines).
- Previous experience in soils disposal and aggregates purchasing.
