Description
Medrescue Group is a Paramedic led Independent Ambulance Service working in partnership with the NHS.

We are looking to strengthen our Clinical Leadership, we are looking for an accomplished Paramedic with proven leadership qualities who is able to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Our PTLs play a pivotal role in developing our junior clinicians, acting as an ambassador and mentor to embed a behaviour driven service ethos.


Common duties:

  • Monitoring of vehicle readiness under direction of fleet manager.
  • Monthly medicines auditing.
  • Monthly PCR audits with targeted feedback for development and CPI bundle targeting.
  • Dissemination of clinical updates.
  • Monthly professional development reviews where appropriate.
  • Conducting Trim assessments and referrals.
  • Deliver or facilitate targeted CPD activities to staff with a minimum quarterly frequency.
  • Conduct DATIX and complaint investigations and deliver feedback with a view to service improvement.
  • Provide support to staff who's presence has been requested by HM coroner by providing support when statement writing and attending coroners court with the member(s) of staff.
  • Engage in development of Newly Qualified Paramedics, completion of NQP reviews and assessments.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, interviews and inductions of new staff.
  • Facilitating supervision in line with policy.
  • Mentorship of students of all grades in a clinical setting.
  • Completion of clinical shift reports for all students.
  • Completion of reviews and development plans for all student paramedics.
  • Be able to go out with DCA crews as an observer for clinical contact hours in addition to the required 50% clinical hours.
  • Engage with all available agencies to improve clinical competence and delivery of care excellence.
  • Engage in reviews of effectiveness of the Paramedic Team Leader team with management and continue to set achievable goals for future improvements.
  • To develop a strategy to reduce job cycle times that is supportive and keeps safe, rapid clinical decision making at its core.
- act as a bronze and acting as such to the scope of a trust bronze. (This can even be extended as a service to respond to trust crews also if trust requires/allows).

  • To represent the company when required in engagements with clients and service users.
  • Support the growth of the business while ensuring the quality of clinical service.
  • Remain available to all clinical staff during office hours.
  • Work in conjunction with Operations and Scheduling to facilitate support for staff who require clinical hours or clinical support.
  • Engage with clients to extend the offer of mutual training and attendance on CPD days.
  • Complete a TRIM 'train the trainer' course to allow for in house training of trim.
  • Engage with all available agencies to improve staff welfare and therefore improve clinical safety, competence and delivery of care excellence.
  • Develop a framework for holistic and personcentereddevelopmental action planning for staff who are struggling with clinical competencies.
  • Develop a culture of openness, candour, honesty and integrity within station.

Salary:
£50,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • HEYWOOD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Full UK Manual driving licence (required)
  • Blue light driving qualification (preferred)
  • HCPC Registration for minimum 2 years (required)
