Hotel Receptionist (25 hours p/w) - HQ Aparthotel, Farnborough, GU14 7GX (3 month-contract)

  • Conveniently located in the heart of Farnborough and just 40 minutes from Central London, HQ Aparthotel Farnborough offers spacious, comfortable and well equipped studio and one bedroom apartments. Our friendly on site team are always there to welcome and look after all guests, whether you're with us for a short break or extended stay._

Job Scope
To ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times. To complete all relevant procedures in relation to the respective department as laid down by the company. Promotes the desired work culture around our company values.


Hours will be a mixture of early shifts and late shifts of 5 hours, over 5 days (including weekends on rotation).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the aparthotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales
  • Whenever possible to anticipate guest's needs, to be aware of all written and spoken requests, to carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner
  • To be fully conversant and able to operate the aparthotels front office systems
  • Ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the guests bills following the standard procedures
  • Be aware of the aparthotel availability and that every opportunity to maximise room sales is taken
  • Deal with credit transactions in accordance with the company policy, and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately
  • Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible
  • Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained
  • Operate the aparthotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls, according to procedure
  • To display and fulfil positive service style

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

  • Customer Service experience, desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of a similar role desirable, but not essential
