We are currently working with a global market leader in heavy vehicle lifting technology and a leading global player in the field of docking systems and loading bay equipment to offer an exciting opportunity to a number of individuals looking to join thecompany as Trainee Maintenance Engineers.

The main purpose of this role is to train as a competent Service Technician to maintain and service loading bay equipment and industrial doors.

This will involve 6 months initially undertaking loading bay maintenance.

The role includes assisting existing ServiceTechnicians in their daily duties and attending specific training courses both in house and external to gain competence.

The duties within the role will involve;

  • Assisting Service Technicians in their daily duties.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance, both as a team as well as carrying out works independently.
  • Completing all administration tasks as requested.
  • Completion of training courses and skills assessments.
  • Carrying out tasks from the department's process list in accordance with internal processes.
  • Generating quotes whilst on site for the purpose of faulty part replacements and upgrades.
  • Carrying out any new tasks as a result of development of the department's processes and directed by the Field Service Manager.
  • Reporting to the Field Supervisor on a regular basis.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have;

  • Previous exposure of over 1+ years to industrial doors, dock levellers or loading bay systems.
  • Mechanical or electrical competency or qualifications.
  • A full UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience of carrying out administration tasks in relation to your work.
This role offers a competitive salary package, including;

  • A basic salary of up to £25,000.
  • Additional training, as paid for by the company, including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and NVQ 2 Industrial Doors, along with a pay rise upon completion.
  • Door to door travel time, paid at enhanced rates when out of usual working hours.
