AMS has an exciting opportunity with our retail banking client for a Degree Apprenticeship Coordinator to work onsite in Birmingham (flexible-hybrid) with their Emerging Talent team.

You'll be a key point of support in the management and execution of the end-to-end Degree Apprenticeship Programmes within the company, directly working with Degree Apprentice Programme Specialists and the Operation Lead.

What does a "day in the life" of my new team look like?

  • You'll be the first point of contact to all Degree Apprentices and business stakeholders for the retail banking client's Degree Apprenticeship programme.
  • You'll support programme management activity by working with the Operations Lead and Programme Specialists on ongoing projects to manage placements and performance management.
  • You'll maintain accurate records of all programme placements, qualifications, community involvement and other key data points.
  • You'll support Degree Apprentice Programme Specialists in the cyclical placement management activity, including rotation administration, updating trackers, and HR system updates and communications.
  • You'll create and manage internal communications for a variety of audiences.
  • You'll provide administrative support throughout the yearend performance management process, and end of placement review cycles
  • You'll rolloff (first appointment) transfer process and administration for all of those completing the programme.
  • You'll collate information and data requests for Functional Board, Committees and People workstreams, assisting with collating feedback & managing meeting attendance.
  • You'll participate in new starter & induction administration and upskilling

What do I need to succeed in this role?

  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to undertake a wide range of tasks, asking questions are required.
  • Solid administration experience from working within a recruitment or training provider setting.
  • You can work as part of a larger team and be flexible to changing demands and priorities.
  • You'll have excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences including stakeholders within the retail banking client.
  • Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
  • Managing a varied and challenging workload and have strong prioritisation skills

Who will I be working with?
You will be working with a team of Degree Apprenticeship Programme Specialists, alongside the operations lead. This leads to a very intimate team who support each other and communicate frequently. You will also be part of the wider AMS emerging talent team.

Today we partner with a portfolio of 19 clients globally and will have supported almost 26,000 hires through our outsourcing services and completed 17 advisory projects consulting on early careers strategy, process, technologies, assessment and brand and attraction in the season.
