Summary:

eXmoor helps clients with their manufacturing of cell and gene therapies (CGT) and biopharmaceuticals.

We provide; (1) translation consultancy to close the gap between R&D and clinical manufacture, (2) process development services from our wet lab in Bristol and (3) capital project design through to licensing.

We have well-funded plans to expand in all areas and to add licensed GMP manufacturing for early phase clinical trials.


We are looking for an experienced Procurement Coordinator with knowledge of running Procurement functions for life sciences laboratories and manufacturing site.

This Coordinator will support our growing team and eXmoor's growth in Process Development and other business areas.


This is an exciting opportunity to work with eXmoor's globally recognised team of scientists, consultants and engineers, on a wide range of Client projects in a rapidly growing market.


Job Purpose:


You will actively support eXmoor's Process Development Lab by supporting on a range of procurement activities - from initial supplier management all the way through to inventory management, to help ensure timely delivery of materials for client projects.


You will also be managing any necessary improvements to procurement processes and coordinating with key stakeholders and other departments, in line with business objectives.


Main areas of responsibility/key duties:


  • Supporting on the range of procurement activities, to help ensure successful procurement outcomes:
  • Procurement planning: coordinate with stakeholders, including Project Managers and Study Leads, to plan the procurement and management of project and overhead consumables, equipment and services.
  • Supplier communications: onboarding, negotiating prices/ contracts, lodging complaints.
  • Supplier management: shaping sourcing strategies, strengthening relations, handling escalation of issues.
  • Ordering: submitting and approving POs in Xero/ Amici, as required.
  • Order management: tracking, expediting and resolving issues with orders.
  • Warehousing: processing deliveries, inventory and storage management.
  • Project closeout activities.
  • Billing queries: coordinating with Finance to support billing reconciliation.
  • Asset management: coordinating with Maintenance and Finance to ensure Fixed Assets are procured and managed appropriately.
  • Highlighting any risks to operation, and managing as required.
  • Maintaining documentation.
  • Taking a lead on certain procurement activities, as required.
  • Working with procurement and inventory management software.
  • Mentoring and managing fellow Procurement personnel within the team, as required.
  • Supporting with the development and implementation of improvements to Procurement operations, in line with business objectives and QMS requirements.
  • Comply with eXmoor QMS and H&S policy.

Person Specification:


Essential Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum BSc in a Life Science, Bioengineering, Finance or related degree.
  • 2 yrs experience of procurement lifecycle and/or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of life sciences/ bioprocessing equipment and consumables.
  • Knowledge of the ATMP market, project delivery, customers, technology.
  • Proficiency with maths and computer skills, including MS Office, particularly Excel.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:


  • Experience with procurement, inventory management or ERP computerised systems eg Amici, Oracle, SAP
  • Experience of GMP Procurement and/ or Warehousing
  • Leadership experience
  • Full UK Driving License
