About the job

The Estate team is looking for a Landscaper to help us maintain and develop our beautiful grounds we are looking for a gardener to join our landscaping team.

The role will be working in our large grounds completing general garden duties but also helping shape the future of the estate.

At SAS the Landscaping team define the first impression, for staff, customers, visitors and the community.

Continually striving for improvement, creating innovative developments that directly benefit SAS employees and customers alike, ensuring we deliver one of the greatest workplaces you can imagine.

SAS estate covers 110 acres comprising of formal gardens, a unique arboretum, and Thames river frontage.

Our team currently look after our rose garden, orchard and fishponds and regularly maintain our herbaceous borders, bedding and pot displays.

Our facilities include a plant nursery, allotments many fine lawns and sport facilities (cricket, football and golf).

As a Landscaper

, you will:

Assists in maintaining a quality, inviting environment for SAS properties.
Conducts turf maintenance, including mowing, backpack blowing, weedeating, edging, and preparing lawns for initial seeding.
Fertilizes and over seeds lawns.
Provides irrigation installation and maintenance.
Properly prunes trees and shrubs.
Removes leaves from property, including blowing and leaf vacuum operation.
Plants trees, shrubs, flowers and bulbs as directed.
Keeps properties and streets clean of debris.
Removes snow and ice from streets, sidewalks, and parking lots.
Performs maintenance of equipment, as directed.
May operate corporate vehicle to transport supplies, equipment, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

1 year of experience of landscaping experience.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Ability to operate hand tools, small power mowers, edger, weedeaters, and chain saws
Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Basic computer skills
