Overview

Our client is an independent firm of chartered accountants, based in central Worcestershire.

Due to their rapid growth, they are looking for a Senior Accounts Managerto support thePartnerswith managing a portfolio of clients.

About the role

This role would suit a self-motivated and organisedindividual, looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting to the Partners, the Senior Accounts Managerwill carry out client work, team management and key marketing activities.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Reviewing financial statements, corporation tax returns, management accounts and VAT returns;
  • Managing the bookkeeping and VAT affairs of clients ensuring deadlines are met;
  • Allocating staff on client work and ensuring the right level of technically qualified staff are on each assignment;
  • Preparing full budget reports for client portfolios, managing the billing process and ensuring bills are sent out in a timely fashion;
  • Promoting the firm and identifying opportunities for obtaining new business development.
The ideal person

The position would suit an excellent communicator with strong people skills.

The person will be able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus and will demonstrate excellent analytical and research skills.
