The Hertfordshire Home Improvement Agency (HHIA) has an exciting opportunity for a caseworker position to work in a progressive and dynamic team.
Hertfordshire Home Improvement Agency (HHIA) is part of an innovative amalgamation of resources from 6 Districts to provide a service that supports the independence of residents.
The applicant will also be required to communicate with a wide and varied customer base and liaise with internal and external partners and with the various organisations involved in delivering key customer services.
The HHIA is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual with a strong customer focus.The caseworker will be responsible for visiting clients in their home, ensuring that all paperwork and
completed and carried out appropriately. Where necessary, they will assist customers to
services where HHIA grants or discretionary funding is not available.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that you provide high quality, effective, efficient and appropriate services to all clients and customers in accordance with policies and procedures and to work as part of a team to ensure the service needs are met.

- Systems, Processes and Procedures necessary to support a busy office
- Private Sector Housing Programmes and Adaptations for Disable Children, Adults and Older People
- Knowledge of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and supporting legislation
Tasks you will be required to complete will include the following
- Caseworker Home Visits and Telephone Reviews
- Ability to gather required financial information and complete financial test of resources (means tests)
- Providing advice and support to customers and partners
- Ability to work on own initiative, whilst managing own workload/ caseload to ensure deadlines and targets are met
- Assist in the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants from receipt of the initial referral to completion of works
