MANUFACTURING CONTROLLER - INSIDE IR35 - £23.64 PER HOUR - STORES EXPERIENCE NEEDED - BPSS OR WILLING TO UNDERGO - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - STEVENAGE (FULLTIME ONSITE)


Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Manufacturing Controller to join our client on an initial 12 month deal from their major site in Stevenage.


Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Controller to join our team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the efficient management of stores and inventory in a dynamic stores environment.

Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading, control, and monitoring of work packages within a manufacturing setting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in organized and hands-on environments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage stock control and storekeeping activities, including monitoring shelf life of items.
  • Load manufacturing cells with required jobs, adhering to planned lead and cycle times to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery targets.
  • Perform packing tasks, utilizing hand tools, and manage the receiving and issuing of tooling.
  • Maintain accurate computer records, ensuring uptodate data.
  • Execute kitting activities to streamline production processes.
  • Safely load and unload Lorries as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a stores environment or manufacturing control is essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work diverse shift patterns as required.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure precision in tasks.
  • Capability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to solve challenges autonomously.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and tasks.
  • Completion of manual handling and lifting & slinging training, including overhead crane operation.
  • ESD training to ensure safe handling of sensitive equipment.

Desirable Skills:


  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel.
  • Possession of a valid fork lift truck license.
  • Familiarity with Kanban and 2 bin systems.
  • Experience using an Enterprise Planning System, such as SAP.
