Description
We are currently re-locating the company to larger premises and need to strengthen our existing fitting teams. The company is therefore looking to hire aSkilled Site Fitter on mananet basis.
Job Role:
- Experience & knowledge with ability to lead on a project, in fitting secondary steelwork & architectural metalwork. (Stairs, balustrading, handrails & glass panels). Fabrication knowledge would be a benefit. Stick welding is required, ability to TIG weld would be an advantage.
- Carry out work in accordance to site pack instructions & information, including; Rams, Drawings, Parts List, Bolt List & hired equipment. Make relevant checks of all information. Work to the given method statement,
- Work to set targets and deadlines given by Operations Manager to ensure project is completed on time.
- Carry out alterations required on site as directed by the Site Manager.
- Additional works not to be carried out without instruction of Operations/Senior Managers.
- Manage onsite tasks, ensuring a productive approach, with a positive attitude to health & safety whilst representing the company. Maintaining high standards throughout the project to ensure a quality finish.
- Report any issues that cannot be easily resolved to Operations/Senior Managers immediately.
- If works are stopped or stalled for any reason this must be reported immediately to the office.
- Check that all equipment & consumables are prepared and organised before commencement of job.
- Be responsible for the security and working performance of tools & equipment on the vehicles ensuring damage or loss is reported promptly using the correct channels.
- Complete any paperwork (physical/electronic) required by the company.
- Keep an accurate daily record of all works carried out, noting all clients alterations, downtime and the effect of outside influences, communicating with the Operations Manager
Job Requirements:
- Willing to work extra hours as necessary to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with the reactive nature of the fabrication/construction industry.
- Fill in timesheets daily, ensure correct hours are located to the correct jobs and provided to Operations/Senior Managers at the end of each day.
- Responsibility for complying with ISO 9001 practices and procedures.

Essential Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Harness Training
Desirable Qualifications
- SSSTS
- Telehandler
- FLT
- Slinger Banksman
- Lift Supervisor
Shifts & Salary:
- Days Regular
- Monday
- Friday
- Overtime may/will be required if job requires
- Overtime rate 1.5 x rate, after 40 hours.
