We currently have a vacancy for a General Operative to join the Engineering department.


Reporting to the Civils Working Supervisor, the main purpose of the role is:

  • Supporting repair and refurbishment works on site to a high standard.
  • Undertaking construction, faultfinding and maintenance repairs within budget and time parameters.
  • Maintenance of company assets.
  • Liaising with both internal and external customers to ensure work is carried out to the required standard, obtaining feedback on completion of works.
  • Purchasing and collection of stock when required to complete works and monitoring of stock levels.
  • Processing all activities on the computerised maintenance system.
  • C&G or equivalent in multi trade discipline and experience working in a multi skilled environment.
  • GCSE grade 5 (C) or equivalent in both Mathematics and English.
  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety practices
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information
This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
