One of the UK's market leading environmental research organisations has a unique full time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant.

Based in the Cathedral city of Bangor, Gwynedd this independent, not-for-profit research centre hasa fantastic reputation, priding itself on providing a quality service to its clients and really looking after its staff.

Working within the Project Finance Support Team your responsibilities in the Project Accountant rolewill include:

  • Reviewing invoicing schedules, managing, and delivering customer invoicing for the companies UK based portfolio of projects
  • Directly providing customer charged management support for a portfolio of national projects and other large projects
  • Assisting in the organisation, preparation of national and international project reporting and support of external projects
  • Working as part of the project team, providing financial project management support on a range of major projects e.g., forecast revisions, monitoring performance against forecast
  • Prepare and complete year end process for all projects
We are keen to speak to anyone who can demonstrate the following skills and / or experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role working in a project finance environment and dealing with a portfolio of projects, external funder reporting and auditing
  • Good understanding of the importance of budgetary control and experience of customer invoicing
  • Fully or part qualified accountant or alternative professional qualification e.g., project management
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive with excellent timemanagement skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office particularly Excel, and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Educated to degree level
This is a full time, permanent position offering hybrid working (mix of office and home) on a competitive salary of £34,562 per annum plus a range of company benefits
