Haematology Cancer Services are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who enjoys working in a busy, friendly, multi-disciplinary team environment, to support us in the delivery of a quality service as a receptionist on our busy reception based in the new Grafton Way Building & also to work on our Haematology Wards as Ward Administrator in both Grafton Way and UCLH as and when required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join UCLH.

You will work collaboratively to provide full administrative services on main reception and our Cancer Wards at University College London Hospital.

This is a full
- time role with working hours of 37.5 hours a week. There is a shift patterns on reception, we have an early shift which is 7.00am - 3.30pm. The late shift is 11.30am - 7.30pm, There is a 9.00am - 5pm shift and weekend shifts either a Saturday or Sunday 9.00am - 5.00pm. It is usual that our team only work one weekend day a month and the shifts are rotated around the reception team When on the ward's hours are 8.00am - 4pm.


The successful applicant will be expected to be self-motivating and carry out administrative duties mainly including admitting patients on to our patient information system, uploading all medical documents and clinical correspondence and collecting inpatient notes.

They will also be expected to provide cross cover with the other ward administrators during times of leave and heavy workload commitment, ensuring that the service provided meets the needs of senior departmental staff at all times.

Patient experience is at the forefront of all that we do. You must demonstrate excellent customer skills with a can do attitude.
