Tezlom are looking to recruit an experienced and vibrant
Team Leader to join the team on behalf of one of our client's in
Warrington.
This beautiful residential home with a Ofsted rating of '
Good' provides accommodation for up to
5 young people between the ages of 8-18* with Learning, Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder and offers a tranquil, safe and nurturing environment for young people to have the opportunity to excel and meet their full potential.
As Team Leader, you will be given lead responsibility for specific tasks in the leadership and management of the home.
The core purpose of your role is to assist the Registered Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent and supportive environment for young people in the home.
-Roles and Responsibilities:
_
- You will lead and supervise care staff daytoday, working alongside them
- Complete regular staff appraisals
- Take responsibility for case managing residents, liaising with families, health professionals to ensure the highest quality care plans are created and delivered
- To attend review and planning meetings to provide information and achieve the best outcome for young people
- Provide supervision and support to staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations
- Ensure young people are safe guarded as appropriate
- Complete spot checks
- Share oncall duties on a monthly rota
- Share sleepin and working online duties on a monthly rota
- Create and promote opportunities for each young person to have regular contact with and visits from parents, guardians, relatives and friends
- Ensure there is good communication between members of care team, both facetoface contact as well as through handover and other meetings
Requirements:

2 year's experience in a children's residential setting (essential)

NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care/Children and Young People or equivalent (essential)

1 year supervisory experience (preferred)

Driver with own vehicle
