Award Body Quality Coordinator

Salary Banding:
£28,500 to £32,500 based on skills and experience.


Base:
Itec House with home working


Contract type:
Full time, Permanent


Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm


What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • To ensure employee and subcontractors' adherence to the Awarding Body procedures and contract compliance in line with Government and Award Body requirements
  • To ensure that all programmes are approved, and registrations are accurate and up to date.
  • To ensure approval conditions and policy requirements are being implemented consistently and effectively.
  • To ensure practitioner staff skills and qualifications meet expected requirements and they are aware of support and guidance available and understand requirements.
  • To ensure assessment and internal quality assurance is accurate, fair, valid, and effective on all programmes delivered by Itec, including ensuring effective assessment and internal quality assurance plans and sampling strategies are in place, recorded and fully implemented.
  • To be Quality nominee for all awarding bodies, prepare for and lead on internal award body quality assurance audits and monitor actions / compliance within agreed timescales.
  • To maintain and update relevant information for all staff including qualification expiry dates, new qualifications, and new systems, and ensure easy access to information and resources as part of awarding body requirements.
  • To attend team meetings to support the ongoing award body requirements and support understanding within the delivery teams.
  • To review updated award body guidance, update and disseminate and provide guidance across delivery teams.
  • To liaise with Curriculum Coordinators, Internal Quality Assurers, and Operational leads to ensure effective and successful delivery of qualifications.
  • To coordinate External Verifier / Standards Verifier visits and monitor any essential actions arising in conjunction with lead Internal quality assurers
  • To manage coordinate and ensure successful outcomes to Annual Quality Reviews with Awarding bodies including any essential actions arising.
  • To work closely with the Senior Management Team and provide regular updates and reports on progress.
  • Support awarding bodies (EQA's) with digital access and instruction for external verification.

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential criteria

  • IQA / Award Body Experience
  • Direct experience working with end point assessment processes.
  • Experience of working in a team as an experienced assessor and lead internal Quality Assurer.
  • V1 / TAQA or equivalent
  • Experience of working with Work Based Learning Industry.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of Welsh and English award body requirements e.g., Functional skills vs ESW.
