About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Youth Justice Service as a Full time (37 Hours) Business Officer.

This is a fast paced, interesting and varied role which will include proofing court reports, processing court outcomes, attending youth court on a rota basis, along with supporting the service with finance tasks and minuting of meetings.

There will be a mixture of office and home working for this role.

You will be based in Huntingdon but may be required to travel around the county on occasions.

Interviews will be held in Huntingdon on Thursday 30th November 2023.

What will you be doing?


Other tasks will include proofing court reports, processing court outcomes, attending youth court on a rota basis, along with supporting the service with finance tasks and minuting meetings.

In addition, you will be required to support other areas and tasks within the Youth Justice Service.

About you
You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as this is a varied role. You will need good administration skills and the ability to prioritise as this is a fast paced role.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to deadlines. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases and in house software.
