SKHUK DFIN are the ultimate owner and arbiter of SGKH Groups Financial Statements, Prudential & Statistical regulatory returns. They follow all the relevant International Financial Accounting and Regulatory rules, regulations and standards to meet this objective.


Kleinwort Hambros DFIN operating lead is primarily the entry and coordination point for the "Business As usual" ('BAU') and operational tasks to support and develop Finance department on behalf of the COO.

The position target is to ensure the departmentand its team members have the ability to deliver on its core mission.

The KH DFIN Operating Lead position reports directly to the SG Kleinwort Hambros Chief Operating Officer.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

This is a new role within the recently restructured DFIN COO team.

The purpose of the role is to support the DFIN COO in upholding and developing the operational capacity of the Finance & Treasury teams, by:


  • Supporting DFIN's day to day operations in line with the core mission statements of the department and the teams within it
  • Supporting the Chief Operating Officer in the undertaking of strategic initiatives to deliver operational improvements
  • Assisting in resolving operational issues, including escalation to DFIN Exco members where required
  • Monitoring department performance in terms of operational risk, efficiency and costs
  • Representing the department at committees for various topics, such as the New Product Committee

  • Motivated, proactivity driven individual who can work autonomously and take responsibility for completing tasks
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Communication, coordination, and presentation skills ability to influence, build effective relationships and communicate successfully with key decision makers
  • Ability to work under pressure/manage ambiguity; innovation and delivery focused, serviceoriented and proactive and inquisitive
  • Ability to learn quickly and built the knowledge base required to effectively represent the departments interest as well as to challenging solutions to get the best results
  • Team player with excellent emotional intelligence, enjoys sharing information, works collaboratively, sets, and supports high standards of performance in self and others
  • Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies, and procedures in the banking industry including regulatory awareness and interest

ACADEMC BACKGROUND

  • BEng, Bsc/Ba, Msc/ Ma, MBA, CPA/CA, CFA, FRM would be a plus.
  • PMP, Prince II, Six Sigma certification would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 4/6 years' experience.
