Agudas Israel Housing Association (AIHA) is exclusively partnering with Robertson Bell to recruit a new Treasury Manager position on a permanent basis.

Playing a crucial role in the organisation's bold and impressive development plans, this role will takeownership of managing the existing loan portfolio, as well as obtaining new financing arrangements, and eventually supporting on the financial appraisal of upcoming developments.

AIHA is an ambitious, growing housing association providing housing for members of the Orthodox Jewish community.

For forty years they have been providing great homes and care services that enable all their residents to flourish and achieve their full potential.


AIHA have £70million of arranged loan facilities and ambitions to build 150 new homes over the next - 5 years.

The Treasury Manager post will focus on arranging new loan financing based upon offers already received.

This is a truly exciting opportunityfor an experienced individual to shape this role as they see fit, and play an instrumental part in the organisation's growth plans.


Responsibilities:


  • To work with the Director of Finance (FD) to complete new financing arrangements.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with existing lenders, as well as working to create new relationships to support the organisation's funding requirements. Forecast nearterm cash flows across the entire business and manage loan drawdowns, rollovers,cash deposits, to ensure funds are readily available to settle liabilities as they fall due. Make recommendations and implement agreed decisions on the placement of cash, balancing risk and reward in line with strategy.
  • To support the FD and Development Team with development finance, which may include appraising development schemes, preparation of the business plan, working with lenders to charge and value properties and support with Treasury matters.
  • To support the finance team with the preparation of budgets and management accounts, and to ensure that the right processes are in place for this to happen routinely.
  • To assist the FD with providing and interpreting bench marking data
  • To assist with any other finance related matters across AIHA where it is identified that support would be beneficial.

Person Specification:


  • Fully CCAB qualified accountant, or qualified Treasury professional.
  • Experience within the social housing sector is essential for this role.
  • Able to demonstrate experience with managing an existing loan portfolio, and supporting new financing.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
This role is based in their North London office on a hybrid basis.
