The Role
The key tasks and responsibilities for apprenticeships at Angelface Childcare may vary.
However, here are some common tasks and responsibilities that apprentices might be expected to undertake, but not limited to:
Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, which includes feeding, diapering, and engaging in play and learning activities, under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
Under the guidance of experienced practitioners, participate in planning and implementing activities that promote early childhood learning and development, including numeracy and literacy activities.
Learn and adhere to the educational standards and curricular requirements relevant to the early childhood education framework.
Support in organizing and participating in educational outings and physical activities that enrich the children's experiences.
Contribute to the promotion of children's mental health and provide a supportive environment where children feel comfortable seeking help when needed.
Help children develop strong communication and social skills to enable effective interaction with their peers and adults.
Actively engage in your own learning and development, attending training sessions and mentorship opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Follow the organization's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with early childhood education standards and safety guidelines.
Apprentices will receive guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure they excel in their roles and develop their early childhood education careers.
Qualifications and experience
- Familiarity with pedagogical approaches such as Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
