This role is part time, 20 hours week with a hybrid working pattern. Either based out of Crewe or Warrington, there is the expectation of periodical travel.
Predominantly working on the HS2 project but scope to support other projects within the North West.
What you'll be doing
As an
EDI Partner, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Effectively implement, monitor, and embed the equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) strategies for HS2 projects and the NW Regional Business Unit
- Collate, prepare, and present EDI performance in the form of PMU7 for HS
- Support the Project Director, Project Managers and Client personnel with analysis of trend data and provision of metrics for review.
- Produce and provide guidance to the wider team
- Contribute to the embedding of equality, diversity, and inclusion by providing training, workshops webinars and events to develop awareness, knowledge, and increasing capability of our employees and supply chain partners.
- Provide administrative support to the EDI steering group, taking minutes and tracking actions.
- Be a source of expertise to the HR team to establish consistent ways of working and to support their activities.
- Support and guide recruitment practices to help create a brand that appeals to diverse applicants and removes bias.
- Liaise with the D&I lead for Balfour Beatty and promote/support group wide initiatives within the NW Regional Business Unit
Who we're looking for
The following experience/qualifications are essential:
- A passion for developing culture.
- Experience of a similar role.
- Thorough understanding of the Legislation and societal desires that are driving the EDI agenda.
- Belief in, and understanding of, the business benefits that EDI advancement provides.
- Confident verbal and written communicator who can effectively engage and influence individuals across the spectrum of the industry.
- Experience working within a team as well as being selfmotivated.
