JOB PURPOSE
Painters and Decorators are responsible for all aspects of painting and decorating internally and externally.

They should have a keen eye for detail with the ability to finish projects to the highest standard and to a deadline.

Reporting to the Painting and Decorating Trade Manager and working closely with the R W Armstrong management team to achieve a high-end quality finish and to contribute to the overall success of the client experience and of client satisfaction.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

PAINTING & DECORATING

  • To carry out all aspects of painting and decorating internally and externally including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding and hydraulic access equipment for working at height.
  • Cleaning, use of all tools and storage of equipment and materials safely in accordance with COSHH regulations
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Painting and Decorating team or to work independently depending on the project.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOUS

  • Demonstrate an indepth knowledge of painting and decorating competencies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of wall papering.
  • Meticulously well organised and used to working to deadlines.
  • High quality finish and attention to detail.
  • To represent the company while working in our clients' homes.
  • Valid UK drivers' licence.

WORKING HOURS

  • 40 hours per week
  • 07:30 to 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 15:30 with a 45minute unpaid break each day,
