They are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a junior level Buyer/Purchase Assistant to work closely with their VP of Supply Chain.

Purchasing Associate - Requirements
- Demonstrate leadership potential and ability to think strategically

- Proficiency in IT software packages
- MS Office, SAP, Sage 50 and MRP Software
Purchasing Associate - Responsibilities
- Respond to material requirements for project related orders, independently scheduling orders, and monitoring delivery dates.
- Requesting quotations from suppliers and handling price negotiations and complaints. Keep MRP software up to date with supplier lead times to ensure accurate stock availability.
- Purchase items required for day to day running of the business, e.g. stationery, employee welfare, buffet lunches.
- Purchase all items in line with Approved Suppliers List and in line with Operating Procedures.
- Work across CU to maintain purchasing efficiencies.
- Maintain Approved Supplier List and supplier files with all key correspondence /agreements and supplier questionnaires.
- Ensure that the VP Supply Chain Management is informed of any potential shortfalls relating to orders.
- Run weekly Open Order list showing overdue suppliers and progress deliveries keeping
- Production Manager informed of shortfalls.
- Maintaining Company Master Data and creating statistics and reports. Building and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Hands on approach with high degree of personal responsibility.
