Do you have experience of working for a cancer research funder? Do you want to use this experience and broaden your horizons beyond traditional research management to lead the implementation of a new cancer research strategy? If so, then we have a fantasticopportunity for you

The Cancer Programme Manager is an exciting new role responsible for the delivery of our childhood cancer research strategy and programmes, working closely with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and our research partner institute, the UCL Great Ormond StreetInstitute of Child health (GOS ICH).

The post holder will work closely with our cancer research grant holders, manage our cancer research portfolio, and support the development of research partnerships to deliver on our ambitious plans.

This is alongside theCharity investing over £300m towards the development of a new Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH by 2027.


About the Team
This exciting role sits within the Impact and Charitable Programmes Department.

The team are responsible for ensuring charitable funding supports high quality projects, for monitoring and evaluating funded projects, and providing support to fundraising teamswith information on the projects the charity funds.


About You

Specifically, you will have:

  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience
  • Research and/or grants management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish good working relationships

Our approach to hybrid working

This role is based in our Central London office (WC1N, opposite Russell Square underground) with a minimum of 2 days working in the offices and the option to work remotely up to three days a week.
