Herb Fed are proud producers of high welfare free range poultry.

We are a small family business north of York looking for a marketing individual to grow with us, shape our brand and embrace the opportunities of growth in front of us.


We supply our Herb Fed free range poultry to leading independent butchers and farm shops up and down the country, including Michelin star restaurants, as well as retailing directly to customers through our website.


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. As the Marketing Assistant you will support the Marketing Director with the implementation of the Marketing plan. You will also be responsible for managing and processing website orders.


Responsibilities:


  • Support Directors with the creation of an annual marketing strategy.
  • Monitor marketing trends and competitors within the marketplace' as well as report on the performance of campaigns using analytics tools.
  • New product research and development, bringing product to market


  • PRINT & POS

  • Creation and print of marketing material and POS


  • ONLINE

  • Creation and implementation of content & videos for social media (InstagraM/Facebook)


  • DIGITAL

  • Support with large scale Christmas digital campaign working with digital marketing agency


  • WEBSITE

  • Website content updates, maintenance and basic SEO.
  • BLOG blog writing
  • Managing PR, advertising, Award and collaboration opportunities.


  • Trade show

  • Exhibit at the Great Yorkshire Show
  • Assist with administrative tasks and managing website sales from processing orders to despatch using courier partner DPD.


  • Customer service

  • Respond to enquires, cross check orders, correct errors and deal with complaints.
  • Monitoring & responding to customer reviews

The ideal person we are looking for:
Energy and flair to create fun, engaging & dynamic content and collateral.

Strong written & verbal communication skills to brief others and write great marketing content.

Extremely organised and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing own workload, deadlines and scheduling content.

Knowledge of SEO and digital search marketing techniques.

An eye for detail

Can-do attitude, initiative and appreciation of personal responsibility to get the job done.

At least 1yrs marketing experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience within the food /retail/ FMCG industry would be great but is not essential.

Creative platform experience (Canva / In-design / photo shop) an advantage but not essential.

This is a Monday-Friday office based position. The role could be full or part-time as we can be flexible to suit the right person. It would require some time in the office every day.
