Data Engineer (Reporting / Visualisation Team) | Swansea | Hybrid (1 Day Onsite Per Week) | Up to £45,000 | 2 Stage Interview Process


Yolk Recruitment is working with an innovative Swansea based Financial Services organisation searching for a Data Engineer to join their reporting team.


This role requires a proactive self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong focus on data analysis and reporting.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in increasing efficiency across the business and deliveringhigh-quality data reports to the executive and management teams.

You will need strong SQL & Excel skills for data analysis as well as strong experience creating dashboards using PowerBI.

They are based in central Swansea & operating hybrid working with 1 day per week in the office.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver bespoke analytical reports using PowerBI to the executive and management teams
  • Analyze and report trading data in a professional and accurate manner
  • Source, maintain, and ensure the integrity of data required for key business processes
  • Support business projects and assist in automating key reports
  • Identify areas for business process improvement and monitor their effectiveness
  • Interact with the Development team to drive further automation as needed

Essential Criteria:


  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VBA
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience in data extraction techniques
  • Strong knowledge of Power Query and Power BI, with experience in creating bespoke data visualisation reports
  • Experience in creating and managing data structures.
  • Experience in identifying data sources, extracting and cleansing the data
